MedCost, Inc. operates as a purchasing arm for physician practices, surgery centers, and any non-acute medical facilities. The advantage is that we combine the individual practice volumes to drive pricing down, using our own staff, technology, office space and overhead.  We provide one stop shopping for all specialties and all facets of the medical practice.  MedCost has the ability to cater to physicians preferences because all supplies are negotiated – not just a top 200 list of specific preferred products.  On behalf of our clients we buy clinical supplies, pharmaceuticals, office supplies, forms, printed materials, charting supplies and capital equipment.  Thus, we are substantially different from a Group Purchasing Organization. 

Once retained, we become that practice or facility's purchasing department.  We develop a customized purchasing program for each of our clients – no two programs are the same.  The only common denominator is that while we do all of the work, the client always maintains control of purchasing decisions.  We have a staff of experienced purchasing agents, buyers, account executives and customer service representatives who research and negotiate on our clients' behalf, place their orders, and follow the orders to completion.  We essentially become an extension of our client's office.   We take our clients' to a new level…a higher level of purchasing power.
